This design showcases the gorgeous washroom in the main barns, the heart of so many of our weddings and events. Often considered secondary to other spaces, washrooms are frequently overlooked—but this one has been brought to life with impeccable attention to detail.✨

Katie shares her inspiration: "As well as the bees' subtle theme throughout, we used star tiles on the floors of the toilets as a nod to the owners of the venue, Star Property Group.

In all the toilets, we installed deep utility-style roll-top basins from @astonmatthewsbathrooms, which are the perfect mix of classic and contemporary."

Star Property's award-winning wedding and events venue, @alfriston.gardens, has been a labour of love and a development we are incredibly proud of. Since its inception in 2020, it has come a long way from the initial design phase.✨

We’re excited to share a series of posts showcasing this journey—from the beautifully curated mood boards by the exceptionally talented interior designer @katie_elizabeth_design to the stunning finished results.

Starting with the Woodland Barn, the vision was to create a traditional structure that complements the historic charm of the attached Century Barn, while introducing a modern twist. Built using SIPS (structural insulated panels) around an oak frame, the structure adheres to traditional craftsmanship, avoiding nails or screws for a truly authentic finish.

Earning us the LIS Award for Best Development last year and currently featured in Tatler, Alfriston Gardens is one of Sussex's premier wedding and events venues. ❤️
